X540 issue

I have , the second time, problem with the left front speaker. It doesn't work because the physical connect on the subwoofer became defected.

I wanted to know what could be the reason to it and if It happend to anyone else?

somebody? anybody? pls help

I got new speakers from logitech and i don't want to connect them cause i afraid that they also will break..
