Z2300 2.1 Left Speaker

I have had this direful problem several time on previous occasions and my left speaker basically doesn't work, at all, not even a peep. And my "quick fix" was to wiggle a disused wire connected to my soundcard. I have absolutely no idea why this worked, but I could not find anything remotely similar to my problem, so, my search for an official solution was inane.

I am using the Z2300 2.1 speakers and a Creative SB X-Fi soundcard.

All my drivers are up-to-date and there are no visible faults on the hardware.

I have plugged the audio jack into on-board sound and that doesn't seem to work either, this problem has perplexed me.

Can anybody help?

the wire probably broke on the inside of the wire covering. If you still have warranty, I would take advantage of that, or else you can cut the wire, and fix it yourself. :smileyhappy:

sorry for hijacking your thread, but I wanna ask, when you turn up your z-2300, does your port (the huge hole) make a chuffing noise? I find it extremely annoying.
