Around Thanksgiving I'm planning on using my Z2300 2.1 speakers to DJ a small party, about 20 people. Would this be possible with these speakers? I was wondering how high I could turn up the volume and how long I could do so. Thanks.

I will recommend 50% of the max volume if the party lasts for 2 to 3 hours. 75% of the volume maybe for 15 to 20 minutes max, 100% not more than 5 minutes.
I you are playing bass heavy songs with the bass volume cranked to max for a long time, then 50% of the volume is the best bet.

Really? I was just cranking it yesterday with a couple of bass-heavy songs at about 60% volume 100% bass for about 2 hrs and it was fine. There was no distortion or anything. The amp got pretty hot though...is that a bad sign? By the way it's going to be about 4 hours. Thanks.

Also, if i really cranked it at 60% volume 100% bass for four hours, what would happen?

don't worry about it, just make sure it's well ventilated. ![]()
