I love my Z515 and use it daily with my iPad2 (and my iPad1 before that). My problem is that when I turn on my Z515 and connect to my iPad (streaming XM radio) after 5-10 minutes, I loose the sound (from the Z515 and the iPad) but all the Z515 indications (lights) are that I am still connected. If I shut down the Z515, the sound comes back from the iPad instantly. Sometimes I can turn the Z515 back on and it will pick up the signal and sometimes it doesn't. When it does pick it back up, I run the same cycle again in another 10-15 minutes. I have the AC power cord connected at all times and I keep the iPad consistently 12-24" away from the Z515 while listening. This has only been a problem since I changed to the iPad2. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Thanks for posting - I received my Z515 speakers yesterday, and have had the same issue with IPad2 sound stopping after 10-15 minutes, with no indication on the ipad2 or speakers that any connections have been lost. I too, was told by Support that the issue is being researched. I will post the same message on the board, so hopefully we will have numbers on our side for finding a solution! Regards, Sam![]()

Same problem here. ![]()
I was pretty excited since these speakers sound good - it actually made me laugh because I thought it was going to sound horrible...lol
But yeah, my iPad 2 is having disconnect issues too. Bummer.
Hoping for a fix soon.

I tried several things support told me to do, and last person said must be defective, and they mailed me a new one, which at first try, seems to work fine for much longer times (30-40 min) via bluetooth from iPad2. I will check out another possible glitch, i.e., when I go back to see the progress on the playlist, if the iPad2 is in lock mode, when I unlock to view it, the connection is lost and is only re-started by turning off-on with the speakers and starting PLAY on the songs again.
If I put the iPad into "Never Lock" and turn down the brightness, maybe it will stay connected indefinitely -- will let you know -- AND be sure to contact Support, since a replacement may work

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give them a call on Monday. It's really bumming me out. I've been trying to use it for Netflix but it simply won't work.
Have to restart the connection every 10 minutes.
I love this thing to death. I didn't think I would, since it was an impulse buy, but now I can't live without it...lol.

I have an Ipad2 and the z515 is paired, no problem.
But when i listen to music, I loose the sound(connection) 5 - 10 times in a couple of hours which is very very annoying.
The bluetooth symbol stays on the Ipad and I'm only 1 meter (3 feet) away from the speaker. I have to turn off bluetooth on my ipad and then turn it on again to hear the sound again, but after some time it happens again, could be 5 minutes or 1 hour.
I seethe first post is 31 august.... Is there a solution availabe?
Ps : while i was posting this the sound dropped again. :-/

Same thing happens with my iPhone and the Z515. Very annoying.
Maybe iOS 5 next week will fix the issue?

I thought a replacement speaker would solve the problem of bluetooth connection sound quitting after 15-20 min, but even the replacement Z515 had the same problem. Hopefully Logitech Support, as mentioned in last thread, will come up with a fix. For now, when needing extended music/sound, guess we will have to use direct audio cable connection to our iPads!!

Hope so, too. Excited that Apple Rep said the next OS would allow streaming real-time screen content to AppleTV (not just selected native IPad2 apps.)![]()
