Hi all
My Z5500 didn't power on.I checked it and found the console's one chip (cirrus logic cs42526-CQZ) burst. Also I found a cockroach's body---shortcircuit.I already ordered that chip in China. Well, the question is if any other problems will happen when replacing it?

Do you have the soldering equipment to do surface mounted ICs?
Let us know how successful you are in changing it.
You may want to look at the power supply area to see if anything else looks funny.
Make sure none of the capacitors are swollen. That could indicate other problems.

Hi Guys,
Anyone knows if the Crystal cs42526 replaces the Cirrus Logic cs42526-CQZ and any better chips replace it?

Hey,
I found this post while trying to solve my problem - the same IC had blown on my Z5500s!
I bought a replacement part and had it replaced for a small fee, and it works perfectly. There's more info on my blog here:

Hey guys i have a problem with my sub woofer and maybe i will find a solution for this..What hapend..well the system sometimes was power off alone till 1 day when he didint start. After i contact the customer support i found out it was a hardware issue and the control unit was the problem. Because the warranty was off i ordered a new one and when the new system was come i was had a surprise...the control unit was working because i was try it on the new system....and the old subwoofer even if i was conecting the new control unit wasint working....Now im thinking it is a power problem and not the fuse because i checked the fuse even buy new ones. And when the power off thing was hapend i realized he was do this things when i was move him..like if i was move him he start working...lol....What im thinking is some wire or even the transformer for the power source inside the subwoofer..because when i plug in the power and push the 0/1 main switch is making a strange noise like a buzzzzz..not a hight sound but continual and i was see at the new one he dont do this sound.....My question is ..it is worth to try to open him and maybe is a transformer issue? what u guru guys will suggest me?...And sorry for my bad english...is not my 1st language![]()
