Hi, I recently bought some Z906s and I must say I am very happy with my purchase!
However I have heard some people say that the 18 gauge cables that come with the system aren't as good as 16 gauge cables, and that there would be a noticeable sound quality difference between the two.
Can anyone confirm/deny whether or not the speaker cable gauge would have a noticeable effect with the Z906s? Thanks.

Hello jok12,
A lower gauge speaker wire will certainly conduct the signals from the amp to the speaker better than a higher gauge speaker wire. However, chances are you will not be able to hear a noticeable difference. The lower gauge speaker wires can be used on any speaker but you will only be able to hear a noticeable difference if you have a good ear for sound and are using a high end piece of equipment. When I say high end piece of equipment, I am referring to a home theatre system the outputs a lot of power. The Z906 does not output enough power to each speaker individually to require a lower gauge wire.
I hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,
