Z906 Tech Specs

I wanted to know what the specs were so i contacted logitech and this is what they told me:

It seams the frequence response is a little higher, but no mention of the sub size.

Z-906 subwoofer is 8 inches. This is 2 inches smaller than the previous Z-5500. Also subwoofer has less watts. I rather look online for Z-5500. Those were the best THX 5.1 Speaker Setup I ever owned. It's the subwoofer. It has serious bass.

I agree, they aren't a sucessor at all, smaller sub, frequency response is higher on the sub, lower wattage, Z906 sub is very light compared to the Z5500 sub, the speakers are also lighter. They have only improved 1 thing, and that's a additonal Optical input. 


What's worse is when you connect the Z906 up to say SkyHD if something is in dolby digital 2.0 you can't upmix it to 5.1, with the Z5500 you can select Prologic movie/music modes. Biggest letdown is that feature!!

Hey, can i connect my PC and XBOX with HDMI to my TV, and then have audio through "optical digital cable connection" from my TV to 7906 ??? pls help

Hi, that should work yes, but it more than likely the tv will send out a stereo signal via Optical, You would need to check the tv specs etc.
