Hi, question for people who've used both of these systems. Recently got the Z906, and one of the main differences I've noticed is that you have to turn up the volume more to get the same volume level as the Z-5500. Has anyone else found that there is a bit less volume with the Z906 and you have to crank it up a bit more to get the same level? Thanks

Hello Bear22
The difference in volume level should be normal since the Z906 and Z-5500 have some differences on some specifications mainly:
Sound pressure level (SPL)
A measure of the loudness of a sound, relative to the threshold of hearing, measured in dB (decibels). It generally goes from 0 to 140 dB. 140 dB is considered painful and can damage your ears.
The Z-5500 has a higher Max SPL than the Z906 (>115dB vs >110dB)
RMS power
The amount of continuous power, measured in watts, that an amplifier can produce. The higher the RMS figure, the louder and cleaner music sounds. This measurement is far more accurate than peak power.
The Z-5500 has a higher RMS than the Z906 (505W vs 500W)
