I don't know a lot about audio but have used the z5300 speakers for a computer for a long time and think they are great. I have a Panasonic Viera TC-P42G25 tv, which has a digital optical plug. I play movies from a media player box with an external hard drive hooked up to it, but the movies with dts or dolby digital sound messed up coming through my tv's factory speakers, so I want to buy the Z906 logitech speakers in the hopes of fixing that problem.
If I connect the Z906 speakers to my tv, will it play dts and dolby digital, or do I need a receiver or something else to decode that? If it will play them, I need to connect it with a digital optical (toslink) cable, right?

Hi Mop,
You can connect the Z906 to your TV using a digital optical cable. This should work fine.
