So i bought a set of Logitech Z506 surround sound speakers and I am really happy with the purchase. The 5 satellite speakers are really good, (I don't really understand why people complain about their individual quality you're not really meant to stick your ear right up to just one of them, you need to listen to them all at once... thats kind of the point... of surround sound) and the subwoofer is great for a product under $100.
My major problem is with connecting my XBox 360. I am running the xbox through a LG Flatron monitor (model#: M2362D) via a HDMI cable, great little monitor except it only has a single audio output, which is a standard optical TOSLINK.
As far as I can tell the Z506s don;t support any form of optical connection so I was wondering if any one new how I could convert the TOSLINK signal into the 3.5mm ports for 6 Channel surrounds sound which the Z506 does support.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can buy a decoder (i.e. Creative DDTS100) but it would cost more than the Z506 itself. Z506 is a computer speaker therefore meant to use only analog connection.
if you want to connect the xbox360 to Z506 you can only enjoy stereo sound (or simulated surround) but you have to plug both HDMI and composite cable together. with my xbox, the composite cable blocked the HDMI cable therefore I cannot use both at the same time unless i cut the composite cable flap.
