Speakers

on my old comp my 5.1 soundblaster and  x5300 speakers worked , but now i bought a new computer with soundblaster 7.1 xtreme audio and the center speaker makes no sound. did i make a mistake with 7.1 because maybe the 5 speakers are not compatible with 7.1 blaster. soundblaster 5.1 cards are really low in price to buy. what does someone think. should i buy a 5.1 soundblaster or buy a 7 speaker system. what do you all think, i dont know what to do anymore to get the center speaker to work. any help would be appreciated ty.

i made a mistake on blaster spec, it is a 5.1 because it has 5 channels on back of soundblaster sry for the confusion. the rest of my info is good.

lol boy im stupid, 7.1 because all the cords i have are plugged in and there are still two more channels one back of blaster

when i test the center speaker with the configuration program for windows is sounds very muffled and quiet.  the volume is turned up all the way on the center speaker.  when i play mp3 music then there is no sound. hope this helps you
