Ive had these speakers a little while now. they worked for approximately 18 months then, whilst on, crackled and ceased to function.
Also, When switched on there is a resonating sound coming from the torridial transformer in the sub so I personally suspect the control unit.
I have opened up both the sub and controller to look for signs of damage however couldnt find anything obvious, nor burnt or charred
Has anyone got any ideas to what this may be?
I really love these speakers I really wanna get them up and running again ![]()

Hello High_Roller,
Please reset your speakers to their factory default settings. You can do this by doing the following. Set the unit to standby mode then press Input + Settings simultaneously for 6 seconds. This will display the firmware version for a few seconds and will also reset the settings to their original factory values. The Z5500 speakers do come with a two year warranty. If your problem persists, please contact Customer Care for your region for further assistance and a possible warranty replacement.
I hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,
