z623 speakers - with headphones sound goes to one ear

I have some sennheiser headphones, and when I plug into the headphone jack on the Right speaker, the sound ends up in the left ear. When I do a speaker test, both test sounds go to the left ear. When I uplug the speakers and plug the headphones directly into the sound card, they work fine, so I know its not the headphones. The headphones do have an adapter jack to go from a big plug to a small plug.
I've tried other headphones that do not use an adapter jack, and they work fine. This tells me it may be the adapter jack and how it fits into the headphone jack on the speaker. Short of going out and trying other adapters, does anyone know of a workaround for this?

Hi, im having problem with my headphone jack on z623 as well. The sound quality is very poor, sounds like it went thru a high-pass filter, all the bass is gone!!
I tried many different headphones as well.
Do you have this problem with your set?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but do you notice any hissing sound from the speakers when you are not using headphones. If I put my ears around 6 inches from the speakers I can hear a white noise/hiss.

Based on the troubleshooting steps you have performed, it seems as though your headphone jack on the speakers is defective. The Z623 speakers do come with a two year warranty. I would suggest you contact Customer Care for your region for further assistance and a possible warranty replacement.
