is it better to have the front facing you or have the hole in the side face you? does it matter if the hole in the side is blocked or facing the wall? how much room should there be?

Hi yes normally the front faces out and you cant block the the air hole in the side. It is best to have the bass unit under a desk with at least a ft clear from the air hole. They will sound better if you have them that way as the bass sound will hit the side of the desk and resonate better.
