Thanks. I had similar problems a couple of days or so ago, on BBC Radio 2's 'Sounds of the 60s'. Similar log entries. (You have to 'search' for that show). Today it is having trouble connecting !

Anyway, not just 'BBC Radio 4' at issue.

I understand. I have forward this whole thread. It is a little hard to troubleshooting BBC as there are lots and lots of channels then the shows/podcasts on top of that, but as soon as I hear anything I shall update people.

As well as the whole 'geo-location' muddle on top of it all that Tunein and/or mysqueezebox.com has to handle.

We want value from our hard earned licence fee !

This thread's suddenly popular! Which, I guess, just illustrates how big a frustration it is for us.

For context, I have a Duet, in N America. Accessing any BBC station through internet radio search or the TuneIn app results in a specific 'timed out' message. Trying to access any station through the BBC app doesn't result in that - it looks like it's playing but actually does nothing. (As an aside, BBC 7 hasn't worked for quite a while; my guess is that the urls changed in line with its rebranding to Radio 4 Extra).

Adding the specific url (from the other thread linked to in the second post, above) to my favourites on mysb.com DOES result in being able to listen to BBC radio through the player, but it's not an ideal workaround.

The BBC App does need to be updated to remove Radio 7.  

However the Radio 4 Extra URL on the BBC "official" page for WMA URLs http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/help/playing_radio_progs/real_wma_streams  is the same one as used in the Radio App for BBC Radio 7. This URL does not seem to play with any player so the issue is partly the BBC's for publishing out of date information and also possibly for not maintaining an URL that used to work.

The WMA URL published on the above webpage for Radio 4 Extra is

http://ww.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r7.asx

wheras the one to be used now (but AFAICT unpublished by BBC) is

http://ww.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r4x.asx

Although until the current mysqueezebox.com problem is sorted - the above R4x URL will not work for non UK users.

Has anyone figured out how to make the "complete schedule" and "recent shows" work - I am not  terribly tech savvy so if you can talk me through it that would be great  ... I have a squeezebox, I want to listen to Chris Moyles on BBC1, and I am in the US.

Which model squeezebox ?

If you have a Radio or Touch install the 3rd Party BBC iPlayer Applet from the Settings/Advanced/Applet installer menu and I think you may to uncheck "Recommended Applets only"

I am in Hong Kong. I have 4 SB devices. I listen mainly to BBC stations on mysqueezebox.com, data centres EU West and US. I have saved these stations by title from searches of 'Internet Radio' listings to Favourites. I also have the 'BBC App' installed. And 'Tune In'. Since last weekend, none work save for BBC World Service which was restored a day or two ago. I particularly miss 6 Music and Radio 4. I am one of the users bpa2 refers to as being very frustrated by this issue. I am not so tech savvy as to be able to go hunting for different stream URLs and put them into my SB devices as a matter of course. I bought the SBs because of their useful, easy interface, the coverage in mysqueezebox.com and the fact that they connect independently of my home computers and music server. Will Logitech now hasten the reassignment of streams and updating of titles and, if necessary, provide me with a simple rest to restore the stations I listen to? Thank you. NK.
