Squeezebox Players

No problem here, just a question.  Have a Squeezebox Touch, excellent player.  Also use Logitech Media Server, great interface (still on 7.7.1.  Have set up a folder tree of favorites on LMS (radio stations by genre), works great with Touch connected to LMS.   Would like to somehow download same favorites into local storage on the Touch, so they'll still be available even after turning off laptop & LMS.  Searched the web for how this might be done, but nothing so far.  Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this? Thx in advance...

favorites are NEVER in local storage on TOUCH. (I'm assuming you are using either LMS on local computer or switcthing to mysb.com...that is, you are NOT using the tinyLMS within the touch with USB drive attached).  They are either in LMS (like you have) or at mysqueezebox.com.  Unfortunately, there is not any true synching.   You have a few options

1. enter all favorites at mysqueezebox.com.  Then on LMS, under favorites, you'll see an entry for "favorites at mysb.com". Unfortunately, there are no folders available with this approach.

2. save your local comptuter LMS favorites (with folder structure) to your computer. This is called "favorites.opml".  Then place this file on the web somewhere so that you can point to the URL of the file while it is on the web. (In my case, my home internet provider COMCAST gives users a small amount of free WEB space. I simply put my favorites.opml file on this free webspace. Then I copy the URL of this favorites file to a FAVORITE on mysqeezebox.com and give it a name "Gary's LMS Favorites".  With this approach, if my local LMS is turned off and I'm on mysb.com, I see the "Gary's LMS Favorites" as a favorite on my players, and when I select this favorite, I see all my favorites, organized by folder.

Touch's server will store Favorites.  Where these are stored on Touch and how/if these can be accessed via SSH'ing into the Touch I have no idea.

Yep and no idea either on how to access those (and to original poster, that's what I meant when I said I assume you are NOT using the internal TinyLMS inside the Touch....if you are, then that's an entirely different issue....).

Many thanks garymc & squeezeit, exactly the clarification what I was looking for.  Yep, using LMS on local computer.  Saw Favorites page om mysb.com, seemed tedious so I haven't used it.  Not aware of TinyLMS, intriguing but won't go there for now.  Have seen the favorites.opml file, wll try staging it on the web with a URL on mysb.com - pretty slick, thanks for that.
