Duet controller won't scroll past "P"

So I am on my 3rd controller and I have the same issue that I had with the original. Basically in "my music>music folder" it won't scroll all the way through all of my music.

It gets stuck around P...for the important bands that are named past P I've put an "a" in front of the band name so I can access the folder from my controller.  So I have a temporary solution.  But, I am tired of this issue and I am trying to think of other ways around it besides going through all of my music and making 100% sure that it's all tagged and labeled with the proper "artist" so that I can use the "artists" function from the controller.

Any ideas on what I should do here? What do you think the issue could be?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hmmm, this is a bizaarre problem. I assume that on your web interface to SbS you can see the artists past P just fine???

Re: Duet controller won't scroll past "P"

And you mention using my music folder to scroll to artists. What about using the artist menu instead. Does this work on the controller? Are your artist tags correct in all these files? What is the format of the files? FLAC, mp3, WAV, etc?

Re: Duet controller won't scroll past "P"

This has happened to me twice but because my library is so large I couldn't get past the letter E. I had to remove the battery from my Controller, clear my SBS Cache, restart my SBS secession, install the battery, and all was well.

Worth a try.

I have still not figured out what caused it but I lean toward an out of memory or cache overflow issue.

Re: Duet controller won't scroll past "P"

I see this exact same issue with the Controller.  I scroll through either the Artist list, or the Album list and it happens to each one.  I can access all of the artists and albums using the web interface.  I can usually make it work by turning off the Controller and turning it back on.

My library has about 2,000 albums and I can usually scroll down to about the letter T before I have the issue.

I am running Version 7.5.1 r8885 if that helps.

[ Edited ]

My current setup at home has a library with about 56,000 tracks, 4,500 albums, and about 1,600 artists. I can scroll all the way to ZZ top under artist scrolling. windows xp (ethernet wired) & sbs 7.5.2
