Hi,
I have two Squeezebox Radios - a "standard" black one which has worked perfectly since October 2009 and a limited edition white one which I got in November 2011.
This white radio has one frustrating issue: I can't turn it off. Everything else seems to work fine.
I can put the radio into standby, the alarms and the light sensor work nicely and I can happily use the iPlayer plugin and stream from my local server.
When I try to turn the radio off by holding the power button in for a few seconds, I get the "Goodbye" screen but then nothing happens for about a minute. The radio then restarts. The only way I can actually turn it off is by turning the mains power off.
I cannot remember the specific versions of firmware I have tried (not near the radio to check) but it was originally on 7.5.x (the same as the server and my other radio). Yesterday I upgrade the white radio to 7.7.x (the current MySB version) and also tried a factory reset. Neither of these made any difference.
This isn't a major issue as I don't generally have a need to turn the radio off but I am concerned that there may be a underlying hardware fault. If so, I'd want to get this resolved before the warranty expires.
Is there anything else I should try or does it sound like there is a hardware fault?
Thanks,
Ric

Might be the fact that Alarms are set and it is therefore not allowing itself to be actually turned "off".
Tried temporarily disabling all Alarms?

Thanks for the idea, I hadn't considered it - but the alarms were actually disabled when I was testing upgrading and factory reset last night so I guess it's not that.

Hello ricmelia,
This is not normal behaviour for the Logitech Squeezebox Radio. It will be best to contact Squeezebox Customer Care for your region so that they can look into this further.

Try to hold the power button a liitle longer... It will work.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried holding the power button in for a long time (30 seconds maybe?). It didn't make any difference. Having said that, even if it did, it shouldn't behave like this...

Hi, that's similar but this only affects one of my radios and has always done so. It also happens every single time and turning off after the first reboot doesn't make any difference. I have contacted support but haven't heard back yet...
