Re: Repair

Hello Tim888

Sorry for the delay in response.

When you say, can anyone repair it, what exactly is wrong with your Squeezebox Duet Receiver's?

What is it/ isn't it doing?

Re: Repair

What they will not is connect to my wired network, when you re-set everything they will not give you the choice for Ethernet or wireless, that's fine I have a location where a wireless receiver would come in handy.  Hours and hours of life has been troubleshooting my squeeze box receivers, controllers and networks.  When used wirelessly they cause the music to stop  These 2 C-RM66 are in need repair because my other 3 units work as they did from new.

Re: Repair

Hello dreppster,

It would be best for you to contact the Squeezebox Customer support center for your region so that they can either assist you with your issue or see if you are still within your warranty. We do not repair units.

One of the defected receivers will not connect wired only wirelessly.  Out of 5 C-RM66s only 3 work. I can't remember what the other one does, it has been mothballed so long. Can you contact me at:  [personal content edited[  Thanks..

Re: Repair

Hello Tim888,

Taking another look into your account, the Receiver's are having an older version of the Firmware compared to the other 3. Would you be able to Factory Reset the Receiver's and then do a firmware update on the receiver and controller.

Here is what I would like you to do.

1, Factory Reset your Receiver and Controller (Does not matter which controller you use)

2, Connect it to your Network and then to Mysqueezebox.com

3, Go to Settings>Advanced>Software Update and update the Player. (This should update the firmware on the receiver as well)

Once the Controller restarts, try playing music and let me know how it goes.

If you are having Trouble, Here are the following I would like you to check.

1, Check to see what light you see on the Receiver

2, check to see if the receiver is functioning by doing a test

a, Make sure the receiver is connected to your speaker system and the volume is turned up

b, Unplug the Power for the Receiver, press and hold onto the Light on the front of the receiver and plug it back in

c, You should see all the lights on the receiver flash and a sound.

3, Unplug the Power for the Receiver and plug it back in to stop the sound.

Perform the same test for the other receiver and let me know what you find out.

Also, How are you connecting your Receiver to your Network? Are you using Wifi or Ethernet? If you are using Wifi, can I get you to attempt connecting it using an Ethernet?

Let us know how it goes.
