Squeezebox Players

Hi

   I had got a new phone and in the process of setting up the Squeezebox controller on my phone, I may have changed the password on mysqueezebox.com.   Now my SB Radio can connect to either my Squeezebox server (and I have access to My Music), or mysqueezebox.com (and have access to Pandora, etc).  Not sure what is happening.  Everytime I switch it states there is a new firmware and needs to upgrade.

Any help in resolving this would be most appreciated.

If your player is being prompted for an update then it must be connecting to the server.  Have you accepted the updates?

Yes, I did.  Then it connects to either my server or mysqueezebox.com.  When I try force connect to the other then it asks for FW update again, and I am forced to update as it stuck in that screen.

The only reason you are getting updates upon every switch between servers is if your LMS server version is different than the MySB.com server version.  Are you running an older LMS server or a beta version instead of the current release server version?

Options:

-  update your LMS server to the current (same) version as is on MySB.com

-  if using beta, either don't use beta or deal with the updates (beta will always be ahead of MySB.com version)

-  don't switch servers, just stay on LMS for all internet content

-  do switch between different server versions and do the repeated updates (or ignore them as instructed)

If you ignore the update on one server the other server will not ask to update (cuz the player has that version)
