SOund effects - Connection timed out

We use the waves sound effect for my son every night through the squeezebox.  While the file still works on the squeezebox site, it is not working through the squeezebox.  None of the sound effects are.  The squeezebox radio stations work, and everything else.  We reinstalled the last update, to no avail.  Any suggestions?

Re: SOund effects - Connection timed out

Hello braytak24,

We are aware of current difficulties with the sound effects on the Squeezebox Radio. If you have the radio connected directly to the Mysqueezebox.com server, try installing the Logitech Media Server on a computer and connect the Radio. Try playing the sound effects then.

Download the Logitech Media Server from www.mysqueezebox.com > My Media > Download Software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the Media Server connect the Radio by selecting My Music from the home menu.

Let know how whether or not this resolves the sound effect issue.

Regards,

Cameron

Re: SOund effects - Connection timed out

That's all fine and dandy but I need this to work remotely - we use the sound effects to comfort our new puppy (heartbeat) and it works GREAT - however with it working one day and not the next - it's unreliable.   How about fixing the problem... that would be a novel approach, vs a workaround.   Pretty please.

This has been down for at least two weeks now. WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED?!

Re: SOund effects - Connection timed out

If it's anything like their Logitech Alert camera software and/or their Logitech Revue they have now abandoned, it could be months.   Software engineers at Logitech must be high school kids that like to dabble in technology - certainly they are not MIT grads!   Pitiful.
