If I buy a second squeezebox for another room can I stream the same music to both at the same time and will they be in sync?

Yes, if you use the LMS server program (on a computer or NAS or Touch's inbuilt server). You can Sync while only connected to MySB.com but you will experience Sync drift after a while.

I assumed you already had a SB player. If yes are you not using the SqueezeBox LMS server? i.e. Logitech Media Server?

Yes, LMS is all you need. ![]()
iPad remote just controls what is being played, menu navigation, etc.. nothing to do with Sync.
The only SBS I know of is the SqueezeBox Server (SBS), this was the predecessor to LMS server.

You certainly do not need a business class server. I'm guessing that is what that other info meant as far as SBS.
Yes, LMS replaced SBS, SBS replaced SlimServer (SS). Just the progression/evolution of the server software going back to 2001.
All server versions have always been completely free.

No, iPad cannot run LMS, nor do you need it on the iPad. If you want to use an iPad you just need the iPad Controller App to control the players via LMS. The SqueezeBox apps for iPad, androids, phones, etc... just emulate the SB Controller and these are simply seen as another "player" by LMS.
BTW: The SqueezeBox Duet Controller and Radio and Touch can all control each other (and any other SB player) whether the players are Sync'd or not, same as the iPad App. The iPad App is a very handy interface though.
