Squeezebox Players

My Squeezebox Classic has worked fine for years and now I've upgrade to Windows 7 (from XP), and all of a sudden the music stops playing randomly. Usually it happens in the middle of the song and with random number of songs in between. If i play the same song again the problem doesn't occur.

I'm using Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.1, and this happend during streaming both mp3 and flac files. The streaming is going through a LAN network, so it's not a wifi problem.

I have tried with two different computers with the same version of Windows 7 and ended up with the same result.

This is really annoying and I hope someone can help me!

Hmmm, very odd. I use win7 on two different machines with LMS 7.7.1 and don't have any issues. So it is not inherently win7 causing the problem. Did anything else change about your system/network at the same time. Different router, ISP, etc.?

what happens if you connect directly to mysqueezebox.com instead. Does the problem still exist? If so, this is not related to windows or lms.

It actually seems to be working fine when I connect to mysqueezebox.com instead. I've tried it for several hours without interupt. So you think it's something strange with Logitech Media Server?

I'd try reinstalling LMS

It's the same setup as before. I have also tried wireless with the same problem. All other remains the same.

That makes perfect sense if the issue is with LMS or Win7 or your computer because connecting to MySB.com bypasses all of those.

garymc had a great suggestion about uninstalling the Logitech Media Server software, sometimes if the initial install muddles up and causes issues than later attempts to uninstall and reinstall might not be able to fully remove the previous files, I made an earlier post on doing a complete clean install on windows 7 that might help here:
