Squeezebox Touch - Adding Favorites?

[ Edited ]

Hi.. Noobie here

Brand new Squeezebox touch and I am trying to add Internet Radio stations to 'Favorites'.  When I have a station playing and press '+' on the remote I'm given the choices of

- Remove from Playlist >

- Title: 'Current Station'

- More Info >

Going to More Info >

I get

- File format

- Bitrate

- URL

There's no selection choice to 'Add to Favorites'

?? How do I get there and is this sync'd to Favorite on MySqueezebox.com list???

Guidance appreciated...

Thx

Re: Squeezebox Touch - Adding Favorites?

I'm assuming you see this issue when you are connecting your Touch to MySB.com, not when connecting to SBS on your computer.    MySB.com used to offer "Save to Favorites" from the Now Playing screen, somehow this was mistakenly removed.  I believe they intend on puting that function back.  This feature is present if running the full SBS server on your computer.

For now you can only Save to Favorites on MySB.com by hovering over the station in the Menu's, there you press "+", Save to Favorites will be offered.

The Favorites are not actually "Synced" between MySB.com and your local SBS, but when on your SBS > Favorites it will offer to display and play those Favorites you have saved on MySB.com.  Doing so does not switch your player to MySB.com, it just uses the saved URL's from MySB.com.

Thanks... I stumbled on the solution, but appreciate the explanation

For a cool product, looks like someone went out of their way to complicate the UI :smileymad:

Re: Squeezebox Touch - Adding Favorites?

Ha!  Sad but true.  :smileywink:

It was in there before.  How/why it was removed from the Now Playing screen I don't know.

If there is any place where it seems the most logical to have a Save to Favorites it is from the Now Playing screen.

I'm rather certain they do plan on fixing it (or, putting it back, as it were).
