Syncing up mutiple players

I have done this before, so not sure what is now "wrong".

I have a Duet in the living room and two Squeezebox Radios in other rooms.  I can get each one to play its own Pandora fees, but cannot get them to sync.  When I go to Sync the Radio's that will work but when I go to the Duet and go to sync it says "add more players to your network to Sync".  And if I am using the Radio's I do not see the Duet as an option.

I have tried to sync on both radios, my Android app and the Duet remote.  I looked and all 3 units are on my same home wifi network.

Long day at work - am I missing something obvious?

Seems like it could be an issue, just not a step I am missing.

In the last 30 minutes while playing Pandora the Duet would just stop and not go to the next song.  Song finished, and then the "now playing" screen on the duet controller has the same song that just finished but no new song.

My girlfriend said this happened last time she tried to use the system as well.

So my Duet cannot see my Radio's to sync and every so often it drops and doesnt come back in.  We usually use the Radio's and those have been flawless.  And even right now, I can sync our Radio's just fine, no issues.  Checked and all 3 boxes are on the same home network.

My Duet is hooked up via ethernet cable to a wireless bridge in my living room.  My DVD player is hooked to the same bridge too and I've watched movies endlessly streaming from amazon or netflix with no problems, so I know I have a good strong signal down there.  I am running the 7.7 software on the Duet too.

Any thoughts?

Re: Syncing up mutiple players

Thanks for the quick reply but why would this be happening on my Duet and not Radios (we have played Pandora on the Radios for extended periods of time with no problems)

And it doesnt address the greater issue that no matter what is on my Duet I cannot sync it with the Radios, but the Radios can be sync'd together.

Hence, I think it may be a greater issue?

Hello eggzlot,

Usually we leave issues for 24 hours before we reply to threads, but I wanted to let you know about Pandora. It looks like Pandora is acting differently for everyone.

For the Duet not seeing the Radio's to sync make sure the Duet receiver and the Duet controller are both assigned to the same account as the Radios (I can check the MAC addresses if you like. Just PM them to me) or it could be the wireless bridge you are using is interferring with the connection and the Duet is on a subnet compared to the Radios. Also they all have to be connected to mysb.com or the Logitech media server to sync each other properly.

Re: Syncing up mutiple players

Cat

All radios/duets are hooked up to the same (and only) mysb.com account that I have under my name.

It is odd because with wifi OFF I can still see my Duet on my Android app and see what song is playing, etc.  When I turn Wifi on, I can see the Radios.  Makes no sense that I can see the Duet's with wifi off, so maybe that is a good hint as to what is off?

Re: Syncing up mutiple players

I posted this in the PM I sent back, but I shall post it here.

No because if the Duet is probably connected to mysqueezebox.com then the app would see it while it is on the cell network, but  the App has connected to wifi to see any device that is connected to your Logitech media server (or squeezebox server) program.

Go to the Duet and pick "My Music" and see if that helps or on the Radios go to settings>advanced>networking> switch to mysqueezebox.com then try and sync

Re: Syncing up mutiple players

Perfect - that got the players to all sync - thanks!

Now just hoping I can follow those steps so Pandora stops stalling....

Hello eggzlot,

Right now the Pandora issue is being looked into by our engineers. It will just start working normally when they have fixed it. See the link I posted in my first reply for more information.
