Trouble with apps on Classic - Please Help

I've owned a SqueezeBox Classic for many years now and have been quite pleased with the exception of running apps. I have never been able to run Pandora or Slacker. I have active accounts for both (run Pandora on Iphone, Ipad, & PC without issues), have the apps present in "My Apps", and have ensured that LMS login and password are correct. Here's what I experience with both Pandora and Slacker;
select app from My Apps
selection station or preset
the correct info and graphic shows up in the "now playing" window
the clock/timer begins running but no audio is produced
after 8-10 secs it advances to the next track
process repeats, never producing audio
As I mentioned before, everything else functions correctly (including internet radio). I've never been able to run an app. Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

this is a very odd problem. I'm wondering if there is some sort of Anti-virus in your computer/router, etc. that is blocking the connection to mysb.com needed to use apps?
What happens when you connect your SB Classic to mysqeezebox.com as a music source rather than your local LMS?

It appears I can not access mysqueezebox.com from the player or LMS. I can log onto the website and alter my apps and preferences but when I go to my player or through LMS I can not access it. Thinking I have a password issue, I reset the pass on the mysqueezebox.com page and the settings tab of LMS. Both seem to have accepted it. I did notice when I go to LMS control panel and attempt to enter my password there, it does not accept it. I'm assuming these should be the same passwords? I giving thought to a fresh install of the LMS software. Any thoughts?

maybe a fresh install and a factory reset of the player, where you will again enter your mysb.com credentials.

Last night I went ahead and did a fresh install of LMS and a factory reset of my Classic. I entered my "mysqueezebox.com" user name and password in both the LMS control panel and the mysqueezebox.com tab of settings in the web control. I got excited when I attempted to run Pandora; it starting running without dropping out and advancing to the next track. My excitement was short-lived however because it never produced audio. For the "nuts" of it, I did go into the other room and examine the player it's self. The display showed the appropriate Pandora channel however it was still attempting to connect. I toyed with this for awhile at the player but could never get beyond "connecting" with any station on Pandora or Slacker. I was also unable to connect to "mysqueezebox.com" via the player. Is there a password or log-in at the player that I need to address?

shouldn't be a password at the player level. Sounds very much like a connection problem of the player to your network (wifi strength or wifi interference). If using WIFI, try connecting temporarily with ethernet. This requires changing settings, just plugging in ethernet doesn't automatically switch to ethernet connectin.

I have been running ethernet for a year or so due to poor wifi. Do I need to make any player setting changes on "mysqueezebolx.com" in order to run these apps? I've made no entries to any of the tabs under player.

What is displayed on the player when you try this? Tried rebooting your router?

and when you login to mysqueezebox.com, and look at "my apps", you see all the apps you want listed. And you see all your players listed? (they should show as not connected though, if instead connected to your local LMS. but they should be LISTED at mysb.com.
Somethinig simple is off. This should be essentially automatic if you have a mysb.com account, have clicked on the apps to add, and your LMS and Players are all registered to the same mysb.com account.

I wonder if my problem lies with the player registration. This player was set-up years ago, I've only recently put effort into running apps. Does the player registration need to be the same as the LMS and mysqueezebox.com user name and password? How/where do I verify or change the player registration info?
