I've been happily using my original squeezebox and the squeezebox duet receiver and controller for several years now.
i want to expand to another room where i have some powered speakers. So, i don't need all the bells and whistles of the Squeezebox Touch and it does not appear the Squeezebox Radio also includes digital/analog audio outs.
If the latter is not true, please let me know because the tech specs do not mention audio outs.
I really like that duet receiver - too bad this is no longer available..

Correct, Radio has no audio outs except the headphone jack. Other than buying a used Receiver or SB3/Classic your only other real choice is the Touch. Radio and Touch are the only current players offered by SqueezeBox/Logitech.
