Re: Enough is enough

[ Edited ]
Still no word! We want a PS3, PS2, PC, X360 wheel - we want it high quality and yes sadly WE WILL PAY EVEN MORE MONEY THAN WE DID FOR THE G25. Are you listening to us? Solve the licensing issues, tell those people at Microsoft and Sony to kiss and make-up! It's not our problem. Put the circuitry / firmware / whatever it is for the Sony standard AND the MS 360 standard in the one unit, I want FFeedback in Test Drive Unlimited AND Forza 2 AND GT4 AND GT5 AND so on and so on etc etc. Sigh.

Re: Enough is enough

Never mind G25 360 support...Here it is December 8th, well into the Christmas Selling season and still no word on an XID FF wheel from Logitech. Che at Turn 10 reported many months ago that MS had released a 360 XID API Dev kit. MS must still be asking way too much for licencing. I think we the customers should not be left in the dark. Logitech, Please let us know if there is a wheel in development for the 360 or not. This situation is ridiculous.

Re: Enough is enough

Silence... from Logitech.....

I have high hopes that there is some progress being made on this topic ... but no news is not good news.

I feel lucky that I haven't had the chance to try the G25 (or any other) Logitech wheel... so the MS wheel I just bought seems ok to me. Sure, there's some slack in it and I can imagine that a better wheel should/could/does exist.. but not having experienced one, I'm a little better off.

Re: Enough is enough

Sorry, but we are no longer producing a Logitech racing wheel for XBox 360, and haven't been so for a while. There are still some DriveFX wheels out there, but they're no longer being made.

The G25, in it's current design, does not have the Microsoft USB authentication chip to work with the 360, so there's no way we can adapt it to the 360.

Re: Enough is enough

LOGITECH WHAT SAY YOU.

WHAT SAY YOU!

What's this I see here?

http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/30/fanatec-intros-wireless-porsche-911-turbo-racing-wheel/

A wheel which can run on the Playstation 3, PC and the Xbox 360?

I told you people, I warned you, I will not purchase a wheel until one which doesn't waste my cupboard space comes out.

Until a wheel which doesn't waste plastic, doesn't waste resources, saves me time and hassles comes out.

So what say you now, mmm? :smileyhappy:

Where is your rebuttal? I am curious, I finally have a wheel I can purchase which handles everything I want.

I can now re-purchase an Xbox 360, re-purchase Forza 2, I can buy GT5 Prologue (and GT5 for my PS3) I can play PGR3 and 4, I can play whatever I want across both platforms AND the hardcore games like GTR and R-Factor on my PC to boot.

Do you have an answer to this awesome, multi-purpose wheel? money is no object here, I just want a lovely all in one, I'd prefer a wheel like the G25 but if I have to get this other one I will

So, to finalise, what say you? where is your response to this vastly superior product offering!

To my knowledge, we are not working on a wheel that can be used on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC platforms. We are currenlty concentrating on the PS3 and PC platforms. So, if a wheel that can be used on all 3 platforms appeals to you, then that solution may be ideal for your needs. Mind you, the G25 was out for quite a while before that product was even announced, so who knows what we have in store next? :smileywink:

Re: Enough is enough

Thanks for the response, Charles - we appareciate it.

Just be sure to relay to the teams that a new "super" G25 all in one, way expensive wheel might still sell well, despite the niche audience, we want support for all 3 systems :smileyhappy:

I bet the G25, despite it's insane price sold quite well, since it was such a good product, do it again.

P.S I don't mind cables, wireless doesn't interest me, as much as a high quality, reliable product which works well (no lag, no sync issues)

No problem :smileyhappy:

Just understand that I'm limited in what I can say :smileywink:
