Logitech Driving Force GT on Gran turismo 4 for PS2

We'll I got bored of GT5-Prologue so I decided to go back to playing GT4(on ps2 fat) with the new DFGT wheel I just brought.  But when I try to play it the force feedback is wayyy to strong, and it feels like im fighting the wheel just to get the darn car turning.  I've put the force feedback settings on mild and compared to the strong it feels exactly the same.  Is there some way to tone down the force feedback?  Don't want to play the game if it means destroying my wheel.  I'd like to hear other experiences with the wheel on this game.

Also I've been using this wheel to play Grid/DiRT/NFPS on the pc, which feels fantastic.

Re: Logitech Driving Force GT on Gran turismo 4 for PS2

There is a stronger FF motor in the DFGT, and the only way to change the feedback settings on a console is to use the in-game settings. PCs can use the control panel to adjust this, but on consoles, we have to depend on the in-game settings.

I have no idea why they're so strong. I usually try to test things out like this, but right before the holidays is a really big time for us here and I'm super busy. I wouldn't be too worried about breaking the wheel from force feedback: They're very, very durable pieces :smileyhappy:

Thanks for clarifying that the force feedback motor is much stronger than the old Gran Turismo 3 GT force, I'm used to.  Puts my mind at ease, I seriously thought something was wrong with the wheel. :smileytongue:
