USB speakers with Windows 7, crackle and pop

I just built a new computer and am running Windows 7.  I bought a Logitech Cordess Deskop EX100 with speakers as a set, all in one box.   The speakers are S-150 USB Digital Speakers.  The keyboard and mouse that came with the desktop set seem to be fine so far, but the speakers crackle and cut out all the time.  I updated the drivers online and set the Audio settings per a post I saw from Mike, but they still crackle and pop.  Is there a fix for this?

Re: USB speakers with Windows 7, crackle and pop

I reported the problem to Logitech and it was a painful and frustrating experience, as usual.  The final result was that they sent me a new pait of speakers and they work fine.  I did get them to admit they had problems with them and I hope they have ironed out the bugs by now.  I hope they keep working....

I seem to have fixed it.
Probably the adapter for the Z-cinema is not so good, because it cant handle other devices turning on/off in the same. This goes for everything, spots being turned on, refrigerators turning on for activity.

I fixed it by putting the Z cinema behind a powersurge connector but maybe Logitech might want to review their adapters!

Re: USB speakers with Windows 7, crackle and pop

I'm having the same problem with the Z-cinema and windows 7. Changing the power source or using a surge protector didn't help either. Feels like Legitech is just going to slide this problem under the carpet.
