Z Cinema and Windows 7 Support

I would like to know if support for the Z Cinema system on Windows 7 will be given.  Or at least will there be an update to the buggy software?

I know there was another thread on this but it was locked for whatever reason....

Re: Z Cinema and Windows 7 Support

Hi,

The current software will run on Windows 7. There are no plans for a new software release.

Re: Z Cinema and Windows 7 Support

The speakers came out in 2008.  There are two of these systems in my house.  I have personally recommended them to four other people who have purchased them.

Your position is completely unacceptable.  This is a relatively new product.  There are vendors who are supporting five year old products on Windows 7 (M-Audio with the Revolution series of sound cards).  If in fact you choose to pursue this course of action, I will be forced to conclude from those actions that you clearly do not stand behind your products from a support perspective and my reccomendations in future will reflect this.

I look forward to assurance from you that this product will be supported under Windows 7 in a timely fashion and to seeing Windows 7 divers for this and other products promptly on or soon after October 22, when the OS is released.

Waiting to hear from you...

Re: Z Cinema and Windows 7 Support

So, if I understood your reply correctly, the current Vista x64 software will install FLAWLESSLY with no special tweaks or effort required under Windows 7 x64.

Is this correct?

Re: Z Cinema and Windows 7 Support

Hi,

The software installed flawlessly on all Vista systems in our testing labs. Most of the issues users are experiencing comes from conflicts with other software and drivers and the work arounds to get them working.

Z Cinema works in Windows 7 with the only issue that if the speakers are unplugged while the computer is on, the speakers will only enumerate with a reboot.

Re: Z Cinema and Windows 7 Support

Hi,

Not to belabour the point but you said the software installs flawlessly on Vista64.  I know that - I've been running these awesome spweakers under Vista64 for nine months now.

I'm asking about the software installing and working flawlessly under Windows 7 x64.

That's the clarification I'm looking for.

Thanks...
