Was using this Z-Cinema speakers and couldn't adjust the volume.
Did a uninstall and install ... and now couldn't find any drivers for it for Window 7.
Called the support helpline and got a reply to wait for the drivers for window 7 to be out ...
Am I to get a new speaker or to go soundless till a driver be out if it is to be out ?

Hi,
The Z Cinema was tested with every version of Windows 7 including the RTM versions. The only difference between Vista/XP and Windows 7 is that the Z CInema will not enumerate if unplugged from the computer while the computer is running and then reconnected without rebooting.
Logitech Customer Support for further assistance.

The fact is system doesn't reconise the device. When I tried to troubleshoot it, system prompted back to install the drivers. I did so with the original disc and all the downloadable software available to no avail ...

I solved the problem. NO THANKS to logitech of which is of no help at all.
Anyway ... for anyone with the same problem as me...
First, off the AC power for your PC. Second, re-plug in the Z cinema USB port, Third and lastly on the AC power ...
Once window 7 start up, it should automatically recognise the software and update it. And yeah ... you can adjust the volume too for now ...
Anyway I been using logitech products ... but I am utterly disappointed in the service right here...

Mike,
I have to say that when I first read the forums for the complications that people were having with their Z Cinema speakers with the Windows 7 OS, I was VERY disappointed. I bought them for my desktop (Win XP), former laptop (Win Vista-32-bit), and currently on new laptop running Win 7 - 64-bit on an ASUS. I was most DEFINITELY having the same problems that everyone else is complaining about. However, what I did notice, is that when I installed the software, it was not auto running when I booted my computer up at all! This is with Windows 7...I had to manually open the program, and it would stop working! I couldn't adjust volume....anything. It just crashed.
GOOD NEWS is though, I went to my manufacturer's website, and did an update of my already installed drivers....I had an audio driver update. I applied said update..And viola! Z Cinema now starts up when I start up my computer, and stays running.
So, if I may politely say to the others out there...It is not always the manufacturer of the product you are trying to use, but the product you trying to plug it in to. I mean..HELLO!!! When you bought your computer, it has factory installed hardware that needs updating in order to comply with the newer products. So I will say although disappointed at first by what I read, I researched and exhausted ALL avenues before I complained on here like a fool.....It was a SERIOUSLY EASY FIX!!!

Folks, why yell nat the grocery store for the shortage of oranges due to frost??? There is nothing Logitech can do!! I found that out by all the same avenues you are. HOWEVER....Good News.....Go to your computer manufacturer's website, and update your audio drivers that came installed on your computer.
Believe me, I had ALL the same probs...now, none.
