Hi, i am having the same problem. i have had the Z-10 speakers for about a year and a half and for no reason at all they just stop working are completely unresponsive and display Z-10 on the lcd. This has happened several times since ive had them and its very frustrating. usually i have to reinstall the software and the problem seems to go away for another couple of months only to randomly reappear. but i have done this several times now and it hasnt worked, i tried a system restore and nothing. they were working fine this morning and nothing has changed since then. its not a faulty cable as ive tried a different one and nothing.
it seems to be a bug either in windows 7 or within the z-10 software
Does anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it once and for all
thanks

I have this problem as well, never had it before but now they just went away and register as a "usb audio" device and not the z-10 they are. They were recognized ok just fine before though so I do not know why they are behaving like this now. All info is appreciated.

Same problem here... worked one day and then stopped another... I use Windows 7 64-bit, the only difference in setup I can see is a recent windows updates that got installed on my PC apart from that nothing has changed at least in the usb/audio department.
Going into Devices and Printers -> Now i can see USB Composite Device before it said Z-10 speakers ...
Logitech really, you have good hardware but absolutely horrible drivers/software and after-sale support. Please get you game together and improve in that department... I "was" a Logitech fan, and everything I bought it was logitech ...
Now due to dodgy products (support/upgrades) for such devices (MX1000 mouse lag issue) - never resolved!!! and the Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime IPhone problems (alarm does not activate - clock crashes) ... I am moving toward more of Microsoft related products for Mice / Keyboard and others for hardware.
Well my 2c -- Im sure other people will agree.
