cinema z's bass, or should i say non-existence of bass

so i bought the z cinemas today, set them up and everything, and it seems like just with everyone else the bass its putting out is a joke. from what ive seen on the forums the admin/mods have provided very little or no help to anyone who has this issue, regardless of the numerous pleas. these are my first logitech speakers and its my first time dealing with logitechs support - all i can say is wow... none the less ive payed for them and waited for them to arrive, so ill give it a chance. for now.

can anyone who actually knows something about this issue please help?

If they're brand new, my first question would be is there any output at all from the subwoofer?  If you have a way of generating a low frequency tone, you can see if it's working at all.  It's quite possible it's just defective out of the box.  The bass output is actually quite good for such a little fella, assuming it's working correctly.

Re: cinema z's bass, or should i say non-existence of bass

i just bought these speakers around few day ago, and the bass are pretty weak on my set too. the subwoofer definatly works, but is it defected or not.. i cannot say. the subwoofer bearly put out any sound under 30% volume and gives out a inconsistant rumbling noise when playing quiet movie scene. the woofer only sound decent(and noticeble) at 90%+ volume. the subwoofer on this set cannot compare to the z-5500 i have in my basement.

i gonna try to exchange this set on the 5th, maybe it's defected. i will keep you guys updated...

P.S. i am starting to wonder why tigerdirect put them on sale for 90dollar... the box wasn't sealed properly.
