Video Chat Applications (Non-Logitech)

Hi,

I'm using C910 on Mac mini Server connected to 47" LCD TV at 1080p.

What I notice is high fan speed (CPU usage) when I switch on camera for Skype. It's almost 0 when I do not use video and it gets really high with video.

so here is my question:

Does Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 use GPU for video when used with Skype? 

That would answer me also if a Mac mini with discrete GPU would do better (Mac mini Server has intel 3000 as integrated graphics).
