I’M HAVING TROUBLE HOOKING UP MY logitech web cam 500 TO THE NETWORK WITH CONTA CAM PROGRAM CAMERA NOT LISTED.
PROGRAM SAYS I NEED TO
IP camera not supported
Sunday, 26 June 2011
If your camera is not listed and you already tried selecting Other HTTP Device from the Connect To network dialog then search the camera's maker homepage for the HTTP GET Request Format. Enter this GET command in the network dialog as an URL:
http://IP/get-command
or with a port other than the default 80:
http://IP
ort/get-command
For example axis cameras use for client poll (individual JPEG frames):
http://IP/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=320x24
and for server push (MJPEG video stream):
http://IP/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=320x2
Remember to replace IP with the camera's IP address.
Note: unfortunately there is no standard for these commands, every company creates it's own version.
THANKS

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in USB Video Class (UVC) Mode?
Thanks.
