Issue with Logitech Webcam C110 in Gmail

I'm having the same issue. It just started the other day. My wife was complaining about not being to see herself on the webcam, and the audio not working. I was able to solve the audio problem, but not the video issue.
People on the other side of conversations in Gmail can see her and hear her just fine, and she can see and hear them, but the she doesn't see her own video. In Gmail it lists camera as "USB Video Device". I tried running an uninstall including the driver uninstall while the webcam was unplugged, and then downloaded the latest installer (LWS231.exe), but that hasn't solved the problem.
In the Logitech Camera software, both audio and video work fine, though it also lists it at "USB Video Device". But if I can't see myself in other applications, it doesn't do me much good when I'm talking to relatives or my wife wants to show them something the baby did and needs to be sure they can see it.
I read the help FAQ on moving from UVC to Logitech drivers, but it didn't help as Windows doesn't see a Logitech driver anywhere for me to find. Is there a driver only download I could get that might help with this? Or is there another solution I'm not seeing?

I just realized I should include some more details. My laptop is running Windows XP Media Center.
Also, it not only shows up at USB Video Device in Gmail settings, but also in the Logitech Webcam Software and in the listing for it under Imaging Devices in the Device Manager.

I found this: In Gmail: Gear icon > Mail Settings > Labs > Video Chat Enhancements.
It seems that enabling Video Chat Enhancements has solved this issue for others
