can somebody please help me.

i bought a Logitech C120 webcam. i installed the CD which it came with. however i cannot hear my family memebr on skype even though i use microphone. i checked my audio support and it supports conexant HD input/output. Has this got anything to do with my laptop problem or is it the microphone which came with the webcam. please help. thanks nabz.
