Question about my C510?

Okay, let me lay down the basics first, I need to know if what I'm using to run my webcam is interfering or not supporting the webcam itself.

I am using an MSI Laptop (bear with me), CPU is an i7-2670qm with 12gig ram on the HD.

I am wondering why whenever I'm in Ventrillo, or Skype, that after a while of either leaving the sound "off" and the video "on", or talking altogether, why I eventually get a blue screen death with the issue of the file "LVRS64.sys" has encountered an error and had to shut down causing a fatal error in my system.

I've done some research, and that file is the mic part of the webcam itself, and for the temporary fix of this I have taken out that specific file, and I have yet to run into any issue as far as blue screen deaths, aside from actually using the mic, now.

However, the mic I am using is the one built into the Laptop itself (which of itself is really crappy..) and I'd like to use the one built in on the webcam.

Does anyone either online, or on the supportive team know of any fixes or updates that might help fix this issue?

Maybe some people are having this same issue, if so please post addition information that might help the developers know what is needed to fix.

Please get back to me on this! I love the cam's quality! I want to use it with no errors!

Re: Question about my C510?

Hello Zarka,

This issue could be due to the operating system trying to resolve which mic to use. If you disable the laptop's built in mic do you continue to encountered an error?

Re: Question about my C510?

Well, as far as disabling the built-in mic, I'm not exactly sure how to, I do know how to disable the built in web-cam, but not the built in mic.

How would I go about attempting that?
