Video Chat Applications (Non-Logitech)

Hello,

about 3 days ago I bought 2 Quickcams E3500. I am having problem which I am not able to solve. One webcam I use on my desktop and it seems that my computer doesnt like this webcam, even if I tried to convince him, that this one is fine for him.

Ok, my webcam doesnt work at all with other programs than from Logitech. I think that theres problem with drivers or something like this.

I tried to run my Quickcam with Skype, MSN Messenger and Sightspeed with no luck.

Skype works fine for few seconds, than the video freezes. Sigtspeed doesnt work at all (no video presented) and Messenger can stream video but with really bad sound quality. When I was installing my webcam with drivers from original CD it got stuck on Waiting for connection and never recognized that I already plugged my camera. Than I downloaded drivers from your site (logitech) and installation was fine.
But I couldnt manage to get my camera work with other software than from Logitech.

Second camera is installed on my laptop and it is working like charm, I tried to use both cameras on my desktop, still no luck, so the problem is not with camera but with my computer.

So, please! I would really appreciate If somebody could help me. I already reinstalled drivers for 100 times, also unplugged and uninstalled drivers for my other USB devices.

My computer:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
Core processor 6400+ 3.2 Ghz, 2 Gig Ram

Usb devices: M-Audio MobilePre soundcard, HP Deskjet (printer) I also sometimes plug USB Keyboards.

Mouse and keyboard are plugged into PS2 port.

Hi, I already read this, didnt help me.

1) I would love to use VideoCall , but link is dead.

2) I don´t think it´s problem of IM, I tried to use 3 of them - noone worked on my desktop. 
   On my laptop every IM is working fine with webcam. So there´s must be some other problem.

3) I think problem starts with "wating for connection", how is it possible that one installation package working fine and the other does not? Even if it is same driver version....

1) What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably... the USB\VID ID?

2) Which version of the Logitech supplied QuickCam software application/drivers is installed (FAQ #5105)?

3) What Operating System (OS) is installed?

Webcam is working with windows drivers only, but worse screen and mic. not working. Any idea where problem might be?

Does this issue occur when the M-Audio MobilePre USB USB Bus-Powered Preamp and Audio Interface device is disconnected from your PC?

Yes, this issue occuring also when M-Audio MobilePre USB  is unplugged. Yeasterday I also tried to uninstall my drivers for Mobile Pre and drivers for USB MIDI Keyboards. Keyboards are not plugged when camera is.
