Newbie needs help with Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

I just finished setting up my new Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and I need some help with a problem that I can't seem to solve. :smileyindifferent:

The Installation, Setup, Settings and Updates all went very good.  :smileyhappy:

However;

There is a refection, I think from my desktop, that is causing my eyeglasses to glare so brightly that I cannot see my eyes. :smileysurprised:

I tried, unsuccessfully, to adjust all of the settings that I could find. :smileysad:

I finally changed the background color of my desktop to Black.  That did tone down the reflection but it is still there, to the extent that I can now just barely see my eyes.  :smileymad:

Does anyone have any suggestions that might make this somewhat better? :smileyindifferent:

With appreciation :smileyhappy:

Charles

Re: Newbie needs help with Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

I just assumed it was because I was looking at a computer screen.

The best solution may be to get some non-reflecting spectacles!

Have you tried moving the camera around?

Re: Newbie needs help with Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

Welcome to the Logitech Community Webcam Forum CharlesJr! :smileyhappy:

You can also try:

1) Removing your eyeglasses (if possible).
2) Tipping your eyeglasses (i.e.: raise the ear pieces slightly).
3) Adjusting the room lighting so that it "overpowers" the light coming from your monitor.

Thanks.

You didn't mention "get contact lenses".

Thanks everyone

Thank you all for your suggestions

It took awhile but I continued to tweak my settings until the reflection was nearly gone.
