Programatically rotating a camera (Quickcam Orbit MP)

From what I can tell, there is no standard interface for rotating a webcamera. This means that I would need some sort of SDK in order to programatically access the advanced features of a camera (Rotating is the feature I want).

What driver DLL (if at all) needs to be hooked into in order to access lower level functionality in order to rotate the Orbit MP. From there I can figure out the rest I think, I would just appreciate it if I didn't have to go through searching.

Or am I approaching this from the wrong angle? Is there an SDK you guys provide that I can't see? Is there some standard way to rotate a camera that I can't find?

And ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Carter Williams

Re: Programatically rotating a camera (Quickcam Orbit MP)

In my case, I don't necessarily need to be a partner. I'm a home-hobbyist. I love the quick cam orbit MP, and i think from a personal level, it could help me in a few automation endeavors. i have no intentions to sell or give away my little side-projects.

in my case, i was thinking of using the power of the cam, and making a little .Net-based API for it to interface with either my AI project, or some aspx site hosted locally for me, and family to be able to link in any time they wanted. (unfortunately, .. none of the IM apps out there right now, give that sorta freedom)

would i still have to apply/pay to be a partner?
