Logitech Sphere MP disconnection issues

First of all, hello to everybody.

Ok, I got a Logitech Sphere MP (Motorized Pan) and is working great (when it wants)...

I found that if I got off the extender (for putting the camera on an greater spot), the webcam is working like a charm (till now). The problem is that if I let the extender on it, the webcam is disconnecting (from the logitech software) but still appears in the device manager.

After a little research I got some reading about power consumption for the usb's and I'dlike to know if anyone know what is the minivoltage consumption of the sphere and if we can change it trough the power scheme of the usb hub in the device manager.

Thanks.

Re: Logitech Sphere MP disconnection issues

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm not sure what you mean...
The webcam is plugged and working just fine (without the extension)on a separate usb controller hub (all alone).
I'm suspecting a loss of energy that is been made by the extension (the stick) of the Sphere cam otherwise the cam is just working great (even if I could **bleep** wait to get the orbit AF with the 2 megapixels, lol).

Re: Logitech Sphere MP disconnection issues

If your camera is still under warranty, please contact Logitech Support directly for an RMA.

Otherwise, you can purchase a new "stick" here.

Thanks.

Re: Logitech Sphere MP disconnection issues

The problem is that I sent it back to the e-shop for sending it to Logitech, and they SMS me that the webcam is working fine (even if I doubt that they test it properly).

So for one MORE time I will test it on another computer and report back...

If I found once again that the webcam has disconnection problem, I will demand a **bleep** refund and report back to Logitech because I don't think that a company like that likes to loses a dedicate customer (gamepads, mouses and keyboards) because of the lap of knowledge from the technicians.

Re: Logitech Sphere MP disconnection issues

Ok, here's the point...

The guys from the service said that the camera doesn't work in low luminosity (only on the stick, by my experience), and so the didn't send back the webcam for RMA and return it to me.

Is there any way to contact someone from the logitech staff to confirm me that the webcam doesn't work in low intensity light, and so stop to get angry for paying for something that gives me a lot of troubles (as I said the webcam doesn't reconnect after the loss of connection, even with the connection button in the logitech quickcam software).

Thanks.

Re: Logitech Sphere MP disconnection issues

Question:

What does "low intensity light" have to do with this issue?

Thanks.
