Orbit Gets stuck!

Hey all, there is a odd problem with my LogiTech orbit/sphere.  As you may or may not know, when the pc is turned on first thing, the camera pans and then goes back to the middle, same effect when you click the home button in the pan/tilt settings bit.  Its now started to get stuck while panning and clicks for a few seconds like its trying to pan further than it can and then its ok again! lol whats wrong with it?

Welcome to the Logitech Community Webcam Forum pavilion! :smileyhappy:

This is a known and expected occurrance.

Every Orbit will exhibit this phenomenon to some degree (due to its design).

Thanks.

Re: Orbit Gets stuck!

All Logitech cameras come with a two year warranty (Ref: FAQ #3238).

If you are not happy with the performance of your camera, please contact Logitech Support directly and request an RMA (Ref: FAQ #53).

Thanks.

Hi pavillion,

Unless you plan to use the Camera, leave the camera unplugged, because the gears inside the camera are made of plastic and become dry and brittle and crack. And that is what you are hearing.

If the camera is less than 2 years old, request a RMA to exchange or repair the camera. The Warranty of the exchange unit, will not be extended for another 2 years.

The PID Sticker is on the USB Cable not on the Base of the Camera and must be left attached to the USB Cable for Warranty purposes. Without that sticker, the Warranty is voided.

thecreator - Using the Logitech LX-300 Wireless KyBd & M. And also Logitech Ex-100 Keybard and Mouse Combo. Also installed is a Logitech QC Orbit MP Camera. Running on Win XP HE SP 3. If one hears a noise, as the camera searches home, it went bad. Return the camera under warranty. Call Logitech Support. Ser. No. / PID is found on Sticker on the USB Cable, not the base of the camera. Don't rip the Sticker Off. Don't open the camera. Voids the warranty. Drivers for Vista are available.
