i bought the MP version today and the focus was fixed; unless i had it set a foot away from my face i looked like a blob. so i returned it an hr later and got the deluxe. 85 after taxes. ive been using the same quickcam zoom for like.. 10 years now and the clarity was impeccable on it. i buy an expensive **bleep** newer model and this is what i get??
am i doing something wrong? i feel like there's a plastic peel-off shield over the lens almost. this is on the clearest focus i can get with the
manual wheel.

Unfortunately, some cameras are inherently better than others.
If you are not satisfied with the image that this particular camera produces, I would exchange it for another one.
