1.  I have a Quick Cam Pro.  I am using bulbs that are about 5000k.  The Auto White balance slider ends up all the way to the left.  If you try manual white balance, again, pegged all the way to the left. 

I still need to move the slider more to the left to get a nice white balance, but I am at the extreme end.

Would I go higher with the color temp, like 6500K?  Or try lower temp bulbs, like 2700k?

Goal is to have a normal adjustment with the slider somehwere in the middle- so I have room to make adjustments if the ambiant light is too strong of a particular color.

2.  What size should the still shots be?  It is a 2 megapixel camera, and all I can seem to get out of it is 640 x 480.  I have tried all the adjustments.

What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably...the USB\VID ID?

What version of QuickCam is installed (FAQ #5105)?

For Question 1 -

Since the camera's White Balance is "calibrated" for incandescent lighting (2800–3300° K), I would say that you need to lower the color temperature of your bulbs.
