B905 No Autofocus option?

Hello,

I have a B905 2-MP Portable Webcam (seems exactly like the C905...), and I installed the latest software (downloaded from the website via product support). However, in the program, autofocus is not an option. Only face-tracking and pan/zoom. The imaging is incredibly blurry and it's unusable without focusing.

M/N: V-U0010

PID: LZ022SY

Logitech Business Software: V. 12.10.1098.0000

Any help? Would love to get this working...

Thanks!

Re: B905 No Autofocus option?

Hello SJDEVS,

I was able to access autofocus and get it working with the B905 in software version 12.10.1098.0000. To access the autofocus function, open your software and click on the 3rd icon down the ribbon (image of 2 gears) and choose the top tab in the window that opens. The option for auto or manual focus is in second section down in that tab. If you are not seeing this, please uninstall your current software and re-install from this link. Also, please make sure you are plugged into a USB 2.0 port for best performance.

Re: B905 No Autofocus option?

I know that's where it's supposed to be... I'll try uninstalling again and reinstalling, and using different USB ports (all of them are 2.0). It's supposed to be beneath the pan/zoom buttons. I'll try it again and let you know of the results.

Thanks!

Re: B905 No Autofocus option?

Okay, so I reinstalled it (and I've done it before), and it's exactly the same as it was before---still no autofocus. The camera is being recognized as a "QuickCam Notebook Deluxe." Does that have anything to do with it? No other USB devices are plugged in. I've tried going into My Computer and doing Manage and updating the driver that way, but it doesn't seem to be working. I keep getting the UVC.

Any other suggestions? Thank you.
