Hello,
I have a problem on XP SP3 with C270. The error shows up in the periferal as Code 39.
I have installed the software that come with it on CD. Checked for updates too.
I also have all these *.inf generic windows drivers in %windir%\inf\
ks.inf
usb.inf
usbvideo.inf
wdmaudio.inf
wdma_usb.inf
Do I return the cam or do you know a way around the well documented problems on XP? Other forums report same problem and no solution I could find.
I really like this cam and hope I can get it to work.
Thanks!
Dan

Please provide a copy of the setupapi.log for evaluation... per the specific instructions mentioned.
Thanks.

Hi Kachi,
Thanks for the follow up for your patience. Here is a link to the file as instructed: setupapi.log
This system is at my folks' house and is in French. I hope the file will make sense...
Cheers,
Dan

2) Are any other USB devices currently installed/attached to your PC?
Thanks.

Hello and thanks for your answer.
I hqve been offline for a frew days.
Yes it is plugged strqight into one of the motherboard USB port.
There are also other devices:
- a powered USB hub
- keyboard
- printer
I tried with the webcam plugged in to those ports or in the powered hub or even in a nother dual port on my tower. Done multiple reboots in between but never works...
