C310 Webcam's microphone malfunctio​ns after restarting computer. (Windows 7 64-bit)

I have a weird problem where the microphone on the C310 will not work properly after I have restarted my computer. When I first boot up my system and listen to the microphone it sounds like a scrambled sound/static.

 

The only work around I have found is to disable the microphone in the Recording devices section and then renable it. This allows it to record and pick up my voice like normal.

 

I've tried it with the Logitech drivers/software and without. This problem seems to have only started occuring in the last month or so (as far as I know it was working properly until then). I have also tried it on another system (Windows 7 64-bit) and the same problem persists.

 

I do have a USB extention cable attached to it for extra length, but I'm highly doubtful that's causing the problem.

 

OS: WIndows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

What is the 860-xxxxxx (or 8xxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably, its USB\VID ID?
