For some odd reason my C510 webcam stopped working. I moved across town and packed up my desktop. The webcam never worked afterwards! Does anyone have an idea why? I loved the webcam and would hate to see it go!

1) What is the 860-xxxxxx (or 8xxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably, its USB\VID D?
2) What Operating System (OS) and Service Pack (SP) version is installed?
Thanks.

I apologize for the late response. The series number is 860-000261 and it was working under Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64. Any ideas why it would just stop working?

I located the problem. The USB bus wiggled its way out of the circuit board over time and lost contact with the socket. I took it apart and plugged the bus back in and everything works flawlessly again. I hope this helps others with the dead webcam problem.
